Dr. Martin Coonen and his wife Lindy are thrilled to be able to care for the community of Helena, Montana. Martin and Lindy, originally from Helena, were excited to return to the area in 2008 after spending 8 years in Washington state. They both attended Helena High school, graduating in 1998. Martin earned his dental degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2008 after attending Montana State University and Western Washington University for his undergraduate education. Martin and Lindy have two daughters that play a variety of sports, which keep the entire family busy year round!
Most notably, Dr. Coonen has earned an additional 1,000 hours of continuing education in varying fields of dentistry since earning his dental degree. Much of that education has come from extensive hands-on training in the placement of dental implants. This unusually high level of continuing education has afforded Dr. Coonen the honor of testing to achieve his fellowship in the academy of general dentistry. Since graduation from dental school, Dr. Coonen has served as president of the 5th District Dental Society as well as working with the Montana Dental Association on various committees.
